To help a child understand how wonderful life is and what great possibilities exist. To help a sad child smile. To help a happy child shine. To help every child know that he or she deserves to be treated with respect. To help the less confident child recognize his or her own unique qualities. To help the creative child understand that it’s OK to be different. To help a child avoid a path of destruction. To help a child realize that asking for help is a courageous act, not a sign of failure. To help a child know how to reach out to another child who is alone. To help a child understand that every choice he or she makes takes him/her closer to, or farther from, his/her goals and dreams and that life is defined by small everyday choices and that each choice makes a difference.

Together We Can Make a Difference

By collaborating together, we can provide a secure platform to analyze the correlation between student health, academic achievement, and long-term success. We can also provide tools and resources for teachers, parents, and students which promote well-being and fosters healthier communities.

Studies suggest:

Healthier populations contribute to a stronger local economy, and a stronger local economy contributes to a healthier population. The strongest connection between health and the economy is sustaining a healthier workforce. Healthier workers are more likely to show up for work, more productive when at work, are in better physical and mental health, and are more likely to better themselves through education and skills training.

Further, a strong economy means better jobs, better benefits like health insurance and higher pay. When people are paid more, they are more likely to invest in higher education, which in turn improves health and income. (Healthy communities mean a better economy, 2017)
